"Who am I when the house is quiet?"

For twenty years, that wasn’t a question I had to answer. My identity was wrapped up in being a husband, a provider, and a builder of a shared life. I spent two decades constructing a world for others, only to find myself at forty standing in the middle of a life that had fundamentally changed.

Divorce is many things: a loss, a shock, a quiet explosion. But as the dust settles, I realize it is also an invitation.

The Rebuild

Stronger Solo is my digital journal—a place where I chronicle the work of starting over from the inside out. This isn't just about "getting through" a divorce; it’s about the deliberate construction of a man I can actually be proud of.

My journey back to myself is built on four pillars:

  • Single Fatherhood: Navigating the challenges of raising my children with presence, patience, and a new kind of strength.

  • Physical Transformation: Using the gym not just for aesthetics, but as a forge for discipline and mental clarity.

  • Intellectual Growth: Rediscovering the world through books and the perspectives of those who have walked hard paths before me.

  • The Great Outdoors: Finding my peace in the mountains, on the trails, and in the silence of nature.

Why "Stronger Solo"?

Being "solo" isn't about isolation; it’s about independence. It’s about realizing that I cannot be the father, the friend, or the man I want to be if I am not whole on my own.

This site is a collection of my miles hiked, weights lifted, books read, and lessons learned. Whether you’re navigating your own transition or you're just a fellow traveler looking for a bit of quiet perspective, I’m glad you’re here.

We are all works in progress. Let’s see what we can build.
